Focus and scope

The 9th International Conference on Science and Technology (ICST 2023) provides an ideal academic platform for researchers to present the latest research findings and describe emerging technologies and directions in engineering and the natural sciences.

This year, five symposia will be held, Computer and Information Technology symposium; Electronics, Power, Communication, Control, and Instrumentation symposium; Life Sciences, Materials, and Applied Chemistry symposium; Mechanical and Industrial Engineering symposium; and Remote Sensing and Geomatics symposium. ICST 2023 is in conjunction with the 4th Geoscience and Environmental Management symposium.

Peer-review process

All submitted manuscripts are read by the editorial staff. Those manuscripts evaluated by editors to be inappropriate to conference criteria are rejected promptly without external review. Manuscripts evaluated to be of potential interest to our readership are sent to blind reviewers. The submitted papers will be peer-reviewed based on relevance and timeliness, technical content and scientific rigor, novelty and originality, and their quality of presentation. The editors then decide based on the reviewer’s recommendation from among several possibilities: rejected, require major revision, or need minor revision. Authors can check the status of their manuscript anytime from their account in the EDAS or Scientific.Net. The committee will notify authors via email when the review process is finished. After the authors get the notification of acceptance, authors need to finalize their final manuscript in accordance with the author guidelines and review results.

Review process:

  1. Author submits the manuscript
  2. Editor evaluation (some manuscripts are rejected or returned before the review process)
  3. Blind peer review process
  4. Editor decision
  5. Notification to the authors

Attending in the conference

After your final manuscript and presentation document has been submitted, you also need to attend the conference for a live Q&A session. Please note that you need to make time on November 1–2 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, because the conference program cannot be rescheduled and must be in accordance with the program given by the committee.

If you are unable to attend for any reason, make sure that one of the co-authors can replace your presence. Change of attendance will result in a change of name listed in the certificate which we will send by email. Unpresented papers will be removed from publication and automatically declared as rejected.
